Developmental Edit of Fiction Manuscript

Service Description

At King Ari Press, we've designed our Developmental Editing service to elevate your manuscript of 60K words or less. This service includes a setup consultation, in-depth manuscript analysis, and a follow-up call to discuss our insights. This is not proofreading or copyediting. We will not line-edit for grammar or style. If a sentence-level issue gets in the way of the story, we may flag it. Our goal is to protect your vision for your story, your voice, while also considering your readers. Clear and defined goals will help us work best to that end. What’s included: Setup call to confirm scope and goals (30 minutes) (Please book separately). Marked-up manuscript (structure, plot, character, arc, and related story issues) Editorial letter Revision roadmap Wrap-up call after you’ve reviewed the materials (60 minutes) Please book at least one week in advance. Turnaround begins when we receive the complete manuscript and agreed brief. Manuscripts over 60,000 words use the add-on pricing and may need a longer schedule. Note: The wrap-up call is for questions and priorities. It is not a second edit. A review of a later draft can be added separately. Also, the session time is for the wrap-up call.
